Wine Seminar at Silver Oak Cellars, Oakville in 2017 | Photography: Tim Kennedy

Please join moderator Gilles de Chambure MS for an exhilarating gallop from the Gulf of Mexico north as we taste the wines from vines brought by Spanish conquistadores, planted by Franciscan missionaries, and nurtured from Baja to Alta California, where they are tended today in the valleys of Guadalupe and Napa. We are indebted to General Mariano Vallejo for his insistence that good wine be always on one’s table.

You will taste wines in a variety of styles from historic to modern, from Baja to Napa, including those by our Hispanic vintners native to Napa, with forebears from Mexico. The seminar is followed by a lunch prepared by Inglenook’s Winery Chef, Alex Lovick and accompanied by wines from Inglenook, a founding winery of NVWLA.

28th Annual Wine Seminar

Seminar check-in begins at 9:30 am at the winery; seminar starts promptly at 10:00 am upstairs in the Barrel Room. Lunch is served outside on the adjacent terrace.

Annual Tasting at Silverado Resort & Spa, Napa in 2017 | Photography: Tim Kennedy

Sixty to seventy-five Napa Valley wineries will pour their estate wines and those from other named vineyards. For a vineyard to be designated on a label, 95% of the grapes must have come from that vineyard. This Annual Tasting provides a wonderfully focused expression of our Napa Valley vineyards.
